Generally, our beloved European prog bands will only come to the US either only for festivals or small tours on the left or right coasts.  Very rarely do they tour the rest of the country otherwise.  Of course for that matter very rarely do our beloved North American bands tour the US other than their home towns.  Most of them spend the majority of their time in Europe or Japan.

Right, I think a band like Pendragon would only lose money touring in the states, especially with gas prices the way they are.

I read an article last week in the Wall Street Journal, (at least I think it was the WSJ), that talked about how many small bands have had to curtail or discontinue their touring because of the increased cost of gas.

It'll make up for the one you missed in June Chopper!

About touring the States, the boys would LOVE to be able to.  Someone makes an approach to the band with a reasonable proposition to pretty much ANYWHERE in the world  then they would seriously persue that.   An to be considered *reasonable* it needs not to LOSE a load of cash, thats all! Wink

There will be more touring in the spring. Hopefully, South America, Canada, Bulagaria, Romania and UK amongst other places

^ see post above and change USA for Scotland! LOL

in all seriousness it's being looked into for next year, although to be fair,  gigs in the UK (england too) are notorious for being a big financial loser, and the further travelled the more lost so it's going to take some working out.......... but hopefully next year we'll haul ass up to Bonny Scotland Cool

Ok chaps, I've just added some more supporting bands to the list, and I have heard rumours from Pendie rehearsals that the boys will play differing sets each night,Shocked  they are working upon hours and hours of material so that they can really shake things up a bit out on tour, some stuff never or rarely played live, some old fav's , some new fav's and of course some new, new stuff! TongueTongueTongue

Glad you got through ok Chopper, see you at The Peel!
