Welcome to Uppsala and UPPSALA PROGRESSIVE ROCK FESTIVAL 2008!We are excited and proud to announce that the following four bands have confirmed that they will play.
The festival takes place: Saturday, August 9, 2008, 16.00-22.00. The stage is called http://www.parksnackan.se/ - Parksnäckan and is located in the centre of Uppsala. It is placed in the city park, Stadsparken (Stadsträdgården), on the west shore of the city river, Fyrisån, between the city hospital, Akademiska sjukhuset, and Fyrisån. The arranger of the festival, Svenska Art Rock Föreningen Crimson, SARF Crimson (in translation The Swedish Art Rock Society Crimson), is a music society which was founded in Uppsala in 1992. The society’s main purpose is to promote and expose the progressive rock music genre. Welcome to the city that has been giving birth to the following progressive rock bands: Samla Mammas Manna, Kaipa, Fantasia, Manticore, The Flower Kings, Pär Lindh Project (PLP), Ensemble Nimbus, Indisciplined Lucy, Violent Silence and Flying Food Circus.
