I'm tempted to vote for another option to be revised...#4 but I'm afraid of what it will become. ![Tongue](https://www.progarchives.com/forum/smileys/smiley17.gif)
James' post count is easily the largest in the group so odds place it there.

Prog started to take itself really seriously. The prog fanbase started to take itself really seriously. People started to treat death grunting as a genuinely artistic means of expression. Metalheads bit the heads off of all the fun in the world, and [insert large prog musician here] ate all the fun in the world. Certain uberfanboys got fed up and left. The ever watchful mods threatened to kill all fun. And people got religion.

I voted for the last option in the poll, as lost things are always in the last place you think to look
(which makes sense, cos who would carry on looking in other places after they find it?)

Watch this space. 'Fun Tax' is on it's way...
All the fun in the world, has been studied, risk assessed, regulated and the British government has decided that there is a level at which fun becomes dangerous, and costly. All us UK citizens will have a 'fun chip' implanted, at about the same time as we get our ID cards and our foreheads barcoded. Everytime we indulge in a dangerous - but fun - activity like eating a bacon sandwich, or going to a gig, our fun chips detect the changes in brainwave patterns, assess what level of fun we're having, transmit a report to the 'Ministry of Despair' and shortly after, we'll recieve a 'fun bill' in the post. Failure to pay on time, will result in a reduction in the amount of fun you're allowed in any one tax year.
During a trial of the 'Fun chip' a prog rock fan in London, experienced an overload of 'fun' at a Rush concert, and was forced to spend the next two years being miserable, paying back his 'fun overdraft'
Be warned.
