Okay, so I had to paint this fence today....well, not so much PAINT as cover in a liquid sealant. It was the same concpet though.
But I had to do it all day, so I figured I'd bring the ole ipod along. What hte cheese, right? Shut up.
But seriously, I turned it on random, and I swear, every other song was a Jethro f**king Tull song. Don't I have ANY taste at all? I mean, l,ike, Crimso, Tull, Ween, Tull, Doors, Doors, Tull. No Zep though, which surprised me.
By this I mean, it's clear where your loyalties lie with your MP3 player; ipod or other such (knockoff) device. So let's play a little game. It's called the game of go insane, er, play three to five songs, on random, and see what comes up.
To get us started, I'll cheat a little, and buzz through 'em without listening. No lying whatsoever.
"Cheap Day Return" -Jethro Tull, Aqualung Live
"No Rehearsal" -Jethro Tull, Nightcap (Disc 1)
"Clasp" -Jethro Tull, The Broadsword and the Beast
"Skating Away on the Thin Ice of the New Day" -Jethro Tull, Warchild
"Videotape" -Radiohead, In Rainbows
Okay, so that was a REAL cheap shot. At the Tull. But it was true. Supposedly.

Not that. o:) I only listen to my portable mp3 player when I'm outdoors, which is exactly when I want ear candy - and those are two songs I can listen to over and over again without ever tiring...
the music I listen to at home is far less nice, so that's why I have the contrast =)

Finally, I have all of those.
Epilogue, Part 2, Jeff Wayne The Doctors Lie, Jerry Harrison Fields of Gold, Sting Daphne, Gary Burton Old Fart at Play (I resemble that remark ), Captain Beefheart & The Magic Band
I really feel sorry for people with a big music collection who are without a portable digital music player. This is way too much fun for me.
Round Two Or a Wolf, Philip Glass (Dracula) Conversation Piece, Dixie Dregs Lithium Sunset, Sting (Oh no not Sting again hey, I like Mr. Sting, is that so wrong?) Moon Ra / Chords / Song of Search, Jon Anderson At Last, Various Artists (from my wife's Bluesianna Hot Sauce album)
Occasionally one of my wife's albums will pop up, but I'm the music freak of the family so it rarely happens due to the enormous size of my collection.

ok, why not, though I'm doing both iTunes and iPod separately.
iTunes:
Loose Heart - Riverside All of the Above - Transatlantic Days Go By - Dirty Vegas Slavonic Dances, Op. 46, No. 2 in E Minor - Dvorák: Orchestral Masterpieces Martha \ M' Appari Tutt' Amor - Enrico Caruso
Well that could have been much more embarrassing.
on to the pod:
Deunde - Siege's Even Contumacious - Little Atlas The Battle of Epping Forest Chequered Light Buildings - Gazpacho Banyan Tree - Braintoy
iPod's only 2 GB so I'm changing the play lists every other day, the bright side of that is that I don't have any weird 80's remnants on there...it could have been Tarzan Boy.

If you're looking for Flower King recommendations, there seem to be a plethora of polls and threads with just that theme:
http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=47832
I consider myself a fan of 'The Flower Kings' and 'The Sum of no Evil' is one of their least memorable. It's not that it's bad, it's just not compelling.

Really? That actually sounds promising because I did find a few things to like.
All of their albums are so... EXPENSIVE! I don't think I could afford another one if I'm only going to listen to it a few times... bot to mention that I can hardly ever sit through a whole double album (which most of theirs are if I'm not mistaken).
Ah, onto the game:
Spock's Beard - Day For Night [Day For Night] CCR - Sweet Hitch-Hiker [Chronicals Vol. 1] Yes - To Be Over [Relayer] Spock's Beard - Harm's Way [Kindness of Strangers] Dream Theater - Through My Words [Scenes From A Memory]
Only one non-prog. Woot?
