as much of a king's x fan as i am (and there was a king's x BEFORE them!), i just started wondering how many bands have the letter X (not in a word, like xerox) in their name.

here is what i have come up with:

king's x
racer x
projekct x (king crimson side project)
symphony x
substation x (indie western north carolina band, later became "cubecutter".)
x propogation (christian techno band)
x-sinner (christian hard rock band, in the vein of ac/dc. kinda cheesy! lol!)
xtc
xerox x (just kidding!)

any others anyone?

There have been 3 bands called X - the famous one from Los Angeles (John Doe and Exene Cervenka's band), a Japanese glam band (also known as X-Japan) and one from New Zealand.

Also, Brand X can be found on this site.

There was an industrial band called X Marks the Pedwalk.

GWAR had a side project called the X-Cops.

X-Ray Spex were one of the first punk bands with a female singer.

Not sure if this would qualify but Xcarnation is a band from Turkey, with contributions from members of Winger and Pat Mastellotto.

If I'm not mistaken there was a band simply named X.  Thumbs%20Up for XTC and Brand X.
