News from Nick Barrett on "Nicks ramblings and news"
So it 's all happening at Pendragon towers and I'm as busy as a Beirut bricklayer.
As most of you know the Pendragon Fan Area is up and running now, with some extracts of the new album Pure, plus video diary and a couple of ancient concert clips, marvellous stuff! If you haven't joined up yet do it now , it's great! Link below http://www.pendragon.mu/uk/files/news_indepth.htm#purelypendragon - http://www.pendragon.mu/uk/files/news_indepth.htm#purelypendragon Just about all the writing is finished now for the album, in Feb I finished writing track 5 which is called It's Only Me, it's still fairly barebones, but looks like it's gonna have a nice guitar solo at the end. Lyrics are thin on the ground for this song, but it's shaping up slowly, I'm hoping to write a whole batch of lyrics on the Script tour as there will be plenty of time hanging around waiting to soundcheck or go onstage. Song 4 is in the same state as song 5....ie: ... not quite finished. I am sort of kicking around a few titles , one might be simply Pure, the other one I had was The Freak Show [how prog!]. To be honest I have set these two songs aside for the moment as I have been immersed in recording guitars for Comatose and Eraserhead which has been taking ages. Will "Pure" be released in 2008 yet? It takes so long for recording an album nowadays... anyway, eagerly waiting since Pend are among my favorite bands (all genres/styles/languages). ------------- Guigo ~~~~~~ |

Yup, Pure will be released 1st Oct 2008. With the launch weekender being 20/21st Sept, and the main tour starting in Europe on 3rd October  It's an exciting year!

Pure is still my most anticipated release of the year (even up there with the new Marillion). Cannot wait for this one. E -------------

for me as well, this is the one release I cannot wait for, wave you heard the demo's? they sound awesome! I deliberatly refrain from listening to the demo's I will listen when the album is out there and in my hands.
