Aug 6 at Starlight. This beautiful old outdoor theater with these tall towers flanking the stage. Sounds like a great place for a Yes concert. I'll hate to see how much tickets are, but I'll see if the wife is interested.

Thanks for passing these along.

Why so many concerts in the US? I think they will come to Argentina becouse it said "world tour".But in order to come they must go through Europe , Australia and Japan , then they get to the undeveloped countries like ours.
I have faith they will come at least once, ASIA did come last year I think

It is awesome that they are coming; I have a nice lineup for my first concerts: Rush, Radiohead, and Yes.

Hmmm, Kansas is playing the same venue the next day.  That's only a 1,488 mile road trip from my house.  Cry

Looks like I'll be looking up E-Dub at the KC show instead.  The last time I saw Yes was in Oklahoma City 25 years ago.  I'm guessing this show will be a bit different....

Does anyone who's seen them in the last few years have any comments on their perfomance? Do they play their old prog classics, or lean towards more of their newer music? Can they still perform well?

Oh, take the plunge and go and see them, you won't be disappointed. They play the good stuff and besides they sound as good as they ever did now. I don't expect to see them around much longer after this either, so if you are at all interested in seeing YES you best go if you can.

I have never seen Yes live, but the name of this anniversary tour is "Close To The Edge And Back". That is hopefully a good indication of what kind of material they will be playing - a lot of classics!

Hey, I also live in the KC area, but I still have not heard of ticket info besides the date and place. Good luck getting the tickets... it seems like our area has had a LOT of trouble with ticket scalpers for recent concerts, ever since that damned Sprint Center opened. But hopefully you guys, me, and E-dub will be able to procure some good tickets (and anyone else around here).

"July 12: Quebec City, QUE - Quebec City Festival"

I CANT FIND TICKETS ANYWHERE!?
Are they on sale? I have researched for hours. I hate it, because I know by the time I find where to buy them all the good seats will be sold out.

Can ANYONE find me a link to a site selling tickets to that show?! I will worship the ground you walk on if you can...i beg you!!!

i have not yet had the luck to experience Yes live, and I would love to!

^^^ It's probably just not available yet... Ticketmaster usually has all the listings, and so far for Canada the only ones up are Vancouver and Toronto. Try checking the site once every day or two until you can find a listing.
And if not ticketmaster, I would definitely be checking the http://www.infofestival.com/Festival/fr-ca_section1.html - Quebec City Festival home page for updates

I was watching the Classic VH1 channel this afternoon during their marathon of I Love the 70's shows from 1974 to 1977.  If you haven't seen this show there were some interesting prog references all about.  But anyhow, each episode started with a commercial advertising the Yes' 40th anniversary tour.  They had Jon Anderson on talking about the tour and about his playing with the School of Rock kids.  Starting on April 10th they are going to have a contest where you send in a video of you or your band playing your original song and the winning entry will be able to perform live on stage with Yes.  I'm not sure if this has been mention on PA or not, but this is the first that I had heard of it, so I thought that I would share it.

I was trying to find a link to the contest but no luck.  Anyhow, here is a link to their website, which includes a recent performance by Jon Anderson and the kids from the School of Rock that you all might find interesting.

My 20th year high school reunion should be this summer as well.  I haven't heard anything about it yet though.  Hmm.  They probably just don't want me there, but regardless it wouldn't stop me from going to the Yes show or the Rush show this summer either.

True, YesWorld.com doesn't have all the shows ready yet.  I'm hoping they'll link them as soon as ticket info is available.

I just bought 7 tickets, Section C, Row 2 (that's front and f**king center, folks) for the WaMu Theater.  $325 altogether, but as I've got six friends coming, that comes to about $47  a piece.  I think I've creamed my pants.

We are getting to a point very soon where Yes on tour will mean watching the children of the band members all performing under the moniker of Yes, much like an ongoing symphony orchestra.
