After hearing him sing on 1011101001 (or whatever), I think he's done something unique, whether intentional or not. On earlier PoS albums, his voice was crystal clear on the high parts, kind of like wailing without the cheesiness. Now, he's got a rougher edge, but not in a gruff, death metal way. I want to say it provides a youthful counterbalance to the more low-tone, gloomy singers on 10001011101010 (or whatever). Does anybody feel this way (does anybody feel like I do)?

LOL here's to hoping he comes out with an album that redeems Scarsick soon enough
or at least just a great album
Be Pt. 2?
Mr. Money shuffling around on the surface of the earth alone for an entire album?
I'd buy it

I thought he was actually playing rather safe on 01001010101010 (errrr..... hang on.....) and that he wasnt as pronounced with his high and low range singing as he usually is. Still the best vocal performance on the album though.

I just got The perfect element 1, and Gildenlow can hit some notes black female R&B singers all aspire to hit some day.

I cant say I'm all up for his pretensiouness though.

I used to really admire this guy, but Scarsick has made that very hard (I actually wanted to punch him in the face after hearing it for the first time...).

HOWEVER...

An excellent album can change all of this.

I've never listened to TPE Pt.2, actually, but I hear it's a little too close to Nu-Metal for comfort??!!! O_O Is this true? Even if it is, I actually listened to Nu-Metal before I really got into prog, so there is probably something I could like about it.

It's just that, "Remedy Lane" was so f**king perfect, I don't know if they could ever do anything that could top it.

I'm disappointed - neither of these players are avant-garde!

its not so much even the sound (well, maybe the title track and Spitfall) but the album just didn't feel strong compared to the rest of their discography

Check my review of Scarsick, basically I point out that they had really slimed down the compositions on their to something much less complicated, and the lyrics were surprisingly angry, up front and streight forward.

I still like Scarsick, but just not as much as his other works.

Upon hearing the song, I feel compelled to profess that:
DEA PECUNIAE IS ONE OF THE GREATEST SONGS/MUSICAL EXPERIENCES I HAVE EVER HEARD.
That will be all.
