I don't care. I never used it.

May I ask how/why people got hooked on this last 10 posts thing?
I mean...I used it occasionally and I guess it was helpful but my life on PA is not effected at all due to its removal. Is clicking on the threads/pages themselves really that drastic a change?
------------- Dig me...But don't...Bury me I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive Warning: Listening to jazz excessively can cause a laxative effect.

Maybe it's just me, but I feel the activity of the forum dropped since the "last posts" facility is gone. I'm posting much less, that's for sure.
Is it a big deal? For me it is. I don't feel the part of PA anymore. "Active Topics" can't compare to this.

Can't compare to what? 10 last posts against all the posts that were made in an interval?

Sorry Rico, call me tiny-brained but that's how it is/was:
Let's admit, no offense to anyone: the majority of people posting in the forum(s) - including the PA one are...well, they're not addicted or computer geeks maybe, but certainly hedonists who like to sit down in a comfortable chair and browse their favourite web page. Somewhat lazy at that (at least I am). I used to login, read a few reviews on a front page, lurk at a profile or two if someone's review is interesting enough, go to forums, scroll to last ten posts, read, comment, contribute..after I "exhaused" all the posts of the "latest 10" I would eventually go to take a look at the active topics...and found that I already replied the majority of most interesting threads. So yes, I am lazy to focus on new things(improvements), and I salute improvements in general, but I would like to see last 10 posts back. It was not only more fun, it was almost essential for me and obviously also for a certain number of forum members. Am I lazy, slow, not able to adapt? Perhaps...
And please, no hard feelings nor stone-throwing because of my prejudice about an averge forum-poster. It's probably saying more about me than the others...

Agree completely. I've been posting less and less. The last 10 posts was a useful tool. Yes, maybe not something we can't live without, but its dissappearance certainly has caused more harm than its existence. I don't think any members ceased to post because the last 10 posts was on the forum page, did they? On the other hand, the opposite is true: people HAVE stopped posting since its dissapearance.

You know, even though during the evenings (in this part of the world) it mostly read "Velvet Room" ten times, I still liked the feature, and consulted it a lot.
I often turn to this forum for the "human element," and the Last Ten Posts feature could tell you, at a glance, who was currently active on the forum, and what they were talking about (& whether it was of interest). Thus, it was good when what I was really looking for was immediate contact & response -- something more akin to an actual "conversation."
I miss it -- it was a quick, condensed and, most importantly, an up-to-the-minute version of the Active Topics feature.

I have verified it today... The active topics function sucks... We were having a big discussion in a thread about MAlmsteen and it didn't even show in the "active topics"....
