A really BIG thank you, on behalf of everyone who participates in the site in any way, to all those who helped us recover from the hacking incident this week. I know mailto:M@x - M@x is genuinely in awe of the way the collaborators pulled together to undertake the work needed to re-input the the lost data.
Specifically, Ricochet, Angelo, DarqDean, Uwe (Rivertree), Mike ER, Bartek (Tuzvihar), James (Gecko), Greg (Logan), Bob Moore (Clem), Iván MM, Mandrakekroot, Erik N, Ruben (Chamberry), Anael, Moris (Clarke2001), and Ian (Vibrationbaby) all went out of their way to bring about a miraculously speedy recovery with no permanent loss of data.
Special mention too for the work done by Guigo (Atkingani) and Jody (The Progtologist) of the Admin team in coordinating the recovery work.
To those who I have not mentioned who also helped, you know who you are, and thank you too.

Thanks a lot guys for bringing back all the latest additions. Since most of my reviews go to the new additions it was sad to see half my reviews dissapear.
I wasn't looking forward to redoing anything, thanks much again.
Mucho gracias

I had a small part to do with it, but most of the praise should go to the others, especially MikeEnRegalia, for supplying us the Google Cache list and for Jody for liaising with us all and deleting all the albums we repaired from the list.
Of course, everyone who helped deserves the utmost praise Also praise should be given to everyone who collaborates, you all work incredibly hard.
Congratulations and let us all hope 2008 runs smoothly.

I may be confused on this, but it seems like my reviews on new additions could not be reached through my profile. That would include all the albums that had "Rename Me" on them, but the reviews could be found on the band site, at least that is how I remember it, but once again I may be wrong.
Anyway, thanks again.

So you can't access your reviews on the hacked albums from your profile, that sounds like a bug to be fixed by M@X.

Indeed. Thanks for mentioning my name, Bob, but I really didn't do much either.

Thanks, I wish I'd helped more. Some people put an amazing amount of time into this. Talk about speedy.

Hey guys, Sorry about the confusion but everything was fixed a long time ago. I was just referring to when the attack had just finished and it seemed like a bunch of new addition reviews had vanished.
Once again thanks so much for fixing everything.

I really have to say thank you to everybody here that worked their asses off to solve this problem. I'm really ashamed that I didn't do anything, I haven't had any time to log in (christmas - working in retail = do the math) and when I did (just few minutes) I really couldn't do anything. I have to applaud those who gave time and effort for PA.... Thanks..

Mike was the hero - without his Google cache list the task would have been 1000 times harder

I'm glad it worked out for this site, but I notice that gnosis2000.net got hacked yesterday! Is there a proghacker on the loose?
And do anyone know if Gnosis has a prognosis on when they launch again?
