imho, Mr. Pete Townshend solo work ( his albums & live shows) is a pure Art Rock ("prog related"), always hidden behind The Who to wider audience, and, probably, behind the army of hardcore The Who fans´ desires...so, i gonna to initialy vote - *yes*. EDIT: Townshend´s solo songs as, for example, O´Parvardigar, Content, Street In City, And I Moved, I Am An Animal, The Sea Refuses No River, English Boy, and many others, maybe are going to affirm my suggest.
