Hi everyone!
I'm sorry this post is a couple of weeks late since the concert was on Oct. the 6th. Unfortunately i wasn't able to log in during this time but now i'm ready.
I want to mention that it was my 1st PT gig ever(first PT concert in Mexico as well), so i can´t make a comparison with previous PT shows, but what i can tell you that is one of the very best concerts i've been to (and i've been to quite a few).
This is the set list:
Fear Of A Blank Planet
What Happens Now?
Sound of Musak
Lazarus
Anesthetize
Open Car
My Ashes
Blackest Eyes
Hatesong
Drawn With me
Half Light
Way Out Of Here
Sleep together
Dark Matter
Halo
Trains
The show was supposed to start at 8 pm but there were a lot of people outside the venue(Metropolitan Theater) so they started about 8:20. Crowd really went crazy when they opened with 'Fear Of A Blank Planet' and you could see half of the audience headbanging... It was amazing! They continued with 'What Happens Now?' , 'Sound Of Muzak' (I'm sure Steven was happy to see that everybody was singing at the top of their lungs) and 'Lazarus'. Then Steven said: "El publico mexicano es el mas chido del mundo....! ("Mexican audience is the coolest in the world...!), i'm sure that he says that in many places but it was a nice detail speaking in spanish and that made everyone become insane.
Then he announced the next song: 'Anesthetize'... i don't have to tell you what happened... the building almost collapsed during that track!
Next ones: 'Open Car' , ' My Ashes' , 'Blackest Eyes' (Another highlight of the night) and 'Hatesong'. Here is when SW apologizes for haven't been in Mexico before and promises to come back and play songs they didn't this night.
They continued with 'Drawn with Me' , ' Half Light' , Way Out Of Here' and 'Sleep Together' to say goodbye and return with 'Dark Matter' and 'Halo', they thanked again, left and returned for the final track 'Trains' to make the place a real Pandemonium...
The show was 2 hrs. and 5 min. long and as you can see there were a lor of classics left out but it was really worthed, great production of lights, sound and videos and the performance of each single member including John Wesley was superb.
It was an excellent experience for me and the full audience, i'm looking forward to see them again.
Fran.
