I am quickly becoming a big fan of this cool BBC series, which is about a covert government agency who investigates aliens and alien technology here on earth and is headed by Capt. Jack Harkness from Doctor Who.

For those who have seen it,what do you all think about it?

Remember...here in America we watch this on BBCA,which is a year behind the Europeans. So please,no spoilers about season 2 of Torchwood or the newest season of Doctor Who.

I thought it was great, although just a little bit too much of an influence on the whole sexuality side of things. I mean don't get me wrong, that was a great dimension to the program, but I couldn't help but feel they were trying a little bit too hard to appeal to a less sci-fi orientated audience.

Would you like to watch TV, or get between the sheets, or contemplate the silent freeway, would you like something to eat?

I always confuse "Anagram" with "Enema", wich eventually will make run away from the wrong thing...

We just watched the finale of the second season of Torchwood on BBCA and I am shocked at how it ended. It was the first time in a long time that anything on a tv show gave me a lump in my throat, but I have gotten really wrapped up in this show and the loss of Owen and Tosh really hit me hard.

I shouldn't be spoiling anything because this aired in Europe last year and anyone watching in America should have seen it already if they regularly watch the show.

I have just finished season 1 of torchwood and will be watching season 2 very shortly.  Love that show.  Oh no! They lose Owen and Tosh???  Tosh never was that great of a character for me, but I thought Owen was cool.  As long as they don't lose Gwen, I'll still watch it though.  I have fantasies of her.  Dirty, filthy fantasies which involve...hmmmm...nevermind.  Embarrassed

I can understand your anger at me, but what did the horse I rode in on ever do to you?

I dont like the sexual aspect of it. Maybe I'm old and out-of-touch but one has to ask the question, why????

people love sex
people like watching sex.
Ratings have a direct relationship with sex content.

I thought the sexual aspect was amusing (as I believe it was intended to be). What irritated me was the two versions: the pre-watershed and the post-watershed, though they did handle the edits a lot better than Channel 4 did with Angel.

On a prog-note - the scene in Series 2 where Owen mopes around his flat to Atlas by Battles was excellent. Clap

I am really sorry I spoiled season 2.I seriously thought that anyone who was watching it episode by episode would have known that.We watch it on BBCA.

I wonder if Russell Davies initially wrote Jack Harkness like that or the character developed like that because of John Barrowman's own homosexuality?

None of the sexuality of the show bothers me,either straight or gay.We are sexual by nature,so why not depict it in the show?

Great show!

Trouble was it was on a commercial channel here in Perth rather than the ABC (BBC equivalent in Oz) ... and it got relegated to some ridiculous timeslot in the wee hours and kept jumping about within the week and I couldn't keep up with it.

Maybe I can get the whole lot on DVD Big%20smile
