Yeah, it does. Even as a last resort I won't use it...I'll search manually.

What are the problems with it?

My biggest problems with it:

1. It has too many options - they're confusing even me (I built Ratingfreak.com, remember Wink).
2. When a search doesn't return any results, you can't simply change your search phrase - you have to start from scratch. This means you have to remember exactly how you configured the numerous dropdowns and search options.
3. So your search doesn't find anything ... you go back and enter a new search phrase and submit the search ... boom, the system says "Haha - too soon you idiot, go back and do it all again and this time please use a stop watch to make sure you don'T submit two searches within 20 seconds.".

LOL

OK doke, I can compile the shortcomings and ask mailto:M@x - M@x to look at them. Is this what the original thread was referring to, or does TW literally mean it "ain't working".

^ I'm not sure. Sometimes I had the feeling that I had all the parameters adjusted correctly but the search did not find a thread which *had* to be there ... but I can't reproduce it now.

I've found that it sometimes utterly blinks out on me, finding no results for stuff that honestly should be there. And I mean honestly should, like..."robert fripp" and "guitar solo."

The whole "search for posts by a member" thing comes through okay, however.
