No micky, this is that thread.

I personally find their earlier material much more artistic and integral in their recording techniques and composition sincerity, though the production quality and aesthetic values of their album covers of their latter material can not be overlooked. Overall, a very passionate band, both about the art of music, and the act of questioning the experience of the principles of progressive music as a whole.

(I remind myself of "Eno" from the film "Art School Confidential".)

I don't like them too much, just as Depeche or Flock of Seagulls. But I love "Save a Prayer" or whatever the name of that damn good song..... It kills me everytime I hear it.

I also do like 'Come Undone' & 'Ordinary World'.

of all the 80's bands that ever existed, you've managed to find the one solitary band that I cannot think of a single good thing to say about them...

Simon Lebon is probably one of the WORST live singers ever.  Just listen to his so-called performance on Pavarotti and Friends (the 1st I believe) on which he Tries to sing Ordinary World... I still have shivers of disgust just thinking about it.  A guy that benefited too much from studio technology but has no talent whatsoever.
