I am I alone in first seeing this mockumentary first back on BBC 2 in the 70's - predating Spinal Tap - indeed the idea for the Rutles was born out of Idle's post Python TV series Rutland Weekend Television - hence the spoof band name?

I saw it when it originally aired as a special on NBC. It's a great parody, and extremely funny. I love the interviews with actual Rock Stars. Like Mick Jagger talking about a song written by the Rutles for the Rolling Stones. "They brought it back, and it was 'orrible. So we never bothered to record it." ------------- a.k.a.
