weird thing
Whenever i call somebody,. And call divert to answering machine,... I cant talk,. ( Unless it is hardcore immergency) What about you? Curious |

I find it just as nerve racking and tedious to leave a message than it is to have a conversation over the phone (and to listen to a Kraftwerk album  ).

I can. Of course my messages are always "It's Chester. Call me." Short and to the point. One thing I can't stand is people trying to have a conversation with my voice mail. I don't need a ten minute long message describing your life since the last time we talked. Just say hi, your name and call me. And give me your number if I don't already have it. ------------- I can understand your anger at me, but what did the horse I rode in on ever do to you? |

We hate answering machines. We are either not there or we are. We can see who called us, and we will call back. We don't have cell phones either; we hate the bloody things. People phone each other all the time just because they have lost the patience to wait. We wont support that.

I don't like talking on the phone. I'm a poor conversationalist. I'm often more comfortable thinking about what I want to say than saying it. It's the expectation of filling the silence that upsets me. I love silence. Anyway.... Either will do. I never leave long messages and I don't think I've ever had a phone conversation longer than 3 minutes. one of the messages left on my voice mail at work was 3 minutes of silence followed by a very quiet 'oh sh*t' before they hung-up - instantly recognisable as one of my more intelectually challenged colleagues - oh how we laughed. No, we did. Honestly - it was very funny at the time... ------------- What? |

I have a hard time calling anyone. I really have some sort of phone phobia! I don't even like talking to friends on the phone. Yeah, leaving messages is scary...I never know what to say and then usually I say something stupid or irrelevant! Usually, I leave my cell phone off because i'm afraid someone will call and i'll have to talk to them or get back to them ------------- for those about to prog, we salute you. |

Dislike phones in general so no. I think I'm one of the only kids in my grade without a cell phone, too, but I honestly don't care.

I usually key in a bunch of codes to see if I can change the outgoing message to something totally vulgar. Or even better, key in the self destruct sequence.
