The central purpose of this thread is to know how hated (or loved) by proggers is this swedish rock band.
I'm quite curious because of the negative critics they use to recieve, as they're commercial or that kind of things; maybe it's true but it doesn't prevent the quality of their albums and songs. And trust me: before I became a prog fan, I was fan of Europe first.
Opinions?? Do you like them? Do you agree with critics? Are they suitable for the average proghead's taste of music?

"The Final Countdown" is above criticism. Anyone who attempts to criticize it is doing so in futility.

I like 'The Final Countdown' - mostly because of the memories it brings along. It's the only Europe song I know though.

Even, Europe songs I like less are the definitive classics - The Final Countdown & Rock the Night (still good songs though).
I love songs like Coast to Coast, Heart of Stone and Tomorrow. Have you heard them?

The Final Countdown and Rock the Night are great songs and indisputable classics of 80's hard rock, but I'm afraid
they're the only Europe songs I remember, even though I have The Final
Countdown vinyl on my shelf.
