Well, I noticed that most people on this site have racked up posts on...

All the games on just for fun, especially silly story (you know who you are)

The velvet room, I will admit I have become a major vr user, but I participate there as much I do talking prog

Anything the whistler does, I cant resist him either.

Throw the rocks or agree, but it's time for a reality checks

(btw, I just wrote this to get some funny conversation going, not to insult at all)

Oh I forgot to metion... THE KOD THREAD!

Well we already have a total of eight or nine such volumes of spam/free talk/chat/discussions/good time (including Mariah, Britney, Loony Bins, Velvet Rooms). Ain't it proof that if you gotta keep up with it? LOL

I much prefer Silly Story, The Question Game, Off at Tangents, I'm Mandrakeroot etc. to prog. The Velvet Room sucks, though. Tongue

If there was a "Just for Fun" forum, I might consider joining it, but unless I find one, this one will do. Tongue

I quit Just For Fun about a year ago when my posting rate beat some records(), except the guess the cover thread which I run(and you gotta admit it's one of the best threads there)

The VR is the greatest hang out place ever, and been this way since the good old Mariah.Approve

I'll defend Just For Fun to the last flattened bone in my boulder-crushed body. Ouch

The Just For Fun freds are what they say - just for fun. It's something to do during lulls in main forum activity, or somewhere to run and hide when a thread gets intense and goes all heated and shouty like the Metallica thread a few weeks back and the various illegal downloading threads. (Oh how I miss those heady days)

And how long does it actually take to post three words on Silly Story compared to constructing a reason and well thought through discussion point on one of the main theme threads? For some people it’s about the same, judging by the inane and ill-considered three-word replies you can read in many of the main threads. Angry

I'll also defend KOD, it is not a random thread for random posts - it had a valid purpose.

Doh!

I'm just going to have to start a Discussion Room for depressed, pagan goths who wear black and who just happen to like dark prog. The only rule being that everyone has to sit and scowl at each other and not say anything unless it is in rhyme.

I think I'll call it the Crushed Velvet Room. Wink

Can I drop in every once in a while, like right now, after Rabobank has had to fire Rasmussen and withdraw from the Tour de France. I can no longer believe in sports, so all that's left for me now is prog. and of course, my wife, kids, secretary, job, ....
As depressing as life can be... Wink

Shocked Oh man that's appauling news - the Tour started so well - now it's a farce. Contador ftw then  - but not the best circumstances to win your first Tour in though.

People never really respond to the things I say anyway, even if they're relevant.

here's a short list of words I like: cylinder, lollop, dungarees, kedgeree, perchance, cellotape, penitentiary, pavilion

I'm skilled at it - ask the Whistler.

All forms of communication with oneself are indeed sacred.

Yes, Hi, of course I like paella.

One might say certain forms of communication with oneself are "broken bridges."
