i have just stumbled on this site(Bloody badly laid carpet!!!) i never knew it existed!! most of you probably know it but for those of you,like me, who dont, go to http://www.connollyco.com/discography/ - www.connollyco.com/discography/  it has discographies and short histories of all the major and minor prog bands as well as singles released etc very interesting.If you add elp/ to the address you will get to the ELP section(unless you type something like alp in which case you will probably get lovely mountain pictures!! or the Australian labour party site and My GOD you dont want to see THAT!!(GET ON WITH IT YOU IDIOT!!!!!!))......sorry....Anyway the ELP section has a very breif description of Prog fans which i think you will like the site is called PROGROGRAPHY

Dude:

It is also obvious that he is not looking any further than England and America: there are no prog bands from any other country.  All of Europe (and everywhere else) is missing.  Conspicuous by their absence are the Nordic countries (Sweden, Denmark, et al) and, especially, Italy.  Maybe he just doesn't have time for all of them.  (Have you sent an e-mail inviting him "over here?")

Also, I was surprised to see no description for Gentle Giant.  Oh well.

Still, he has obviously put in alot of work.

I agree that one doesn't often find lists that include singles.  But then, isn't the word "single" as outdated as the moniker "LP?"
