Do you think  a guitar based band could be progressive?
Or is it necessary keyboards having a major role?
I think there are some guitar based bands as King Crimson or even Led Zeppelin (considered Hard Rock, although with many progressive elements I think).
We considered our band progressive although is guitar based: http://www.myspace.com/thenigua - http://www.myspace.com/thenigua

What about your opinions???

Seiges Even use no keyboards.  Although I think it is rare to find a good prog band with no keyboards, they are one exception to the rule.  From the samples, sounds like you may be one also.  It sounds like keyboards in the background of the guitar solo but is that another guitar?

I think keyboards are fairly desirable in a progressive band, but they're not essential. Rush use keyboards sparingly and Wishbone Ash almost never in their main period, yet they are both excellent and highly progressive bands during at least a portion of their careers. There are many more bands I could name from Opeth (very good) to Meshuggah (not my taste).

No KBs ain't essential

Keyboards bring a whole lot to music in general, even moreso in prog music... but to say they are essential to prog, I don't think so.

It doesn't depend much on the instruments used. One could make Prog Rock with toy instruments if one wanted to. One could probably even make it without proper instruments.
