Well that's not too difficult for me. It's Mariah hands down no question with the Snow Monster from Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer coming in at a close second. That snow monster scared the living crap out of me as a kid.

This one's tough. I love almost everything Giger, but the Thing was so gut-wrenchingly, eye-poppingly disgusting that it can't be ignored.

Hmm... I could do it the easy way... there is one monster that combines the best of both worlds

Any child that sees Jacko's face in his nightmares will definitely need therapy. That face is hideous. I will refrain from commenting on the alleged (see how unbiased I am) acts at the root  (pun) of the nightmares.

I would've voted for Pee-Wee Herman if it was on the list, So I went for Mariah.

In An Old Tarzan with Weissmuller , I saw a huge Spider about to eat Jane and this probably gave my worst nightmare as a kid! I am not afraid of those and as long as they stay on the ceiling , they don't bother me.

prefer the sink to the gutter
keep our sand-castle virtues
content to be a doer
as well as a thinker,
