There were many topics about it...

Anyway, I love it even though I'm not the biggest Rush fan. An excellent 4 star album, as good as Signals. Hugh's artwork for it is great too(the booklet not the cover)

If not for Counterparts and Vapor Trails (both of which are excellent), I'd agree with the sentiment "best since Power Windows"!

it is a fine CD by a fine band , hard to believe these guys are still pumping them out at their age ..  its a credit to them  .. the truth is that though S&A may not be perfect  the target is there and them arrows surely wont miss it next CD and you little snakes are gonna be snake soup too. Had this CD been just a little more progressive with some keyboard orchestration in places it would have been great. Songs are there (meaning good) the lyrics are great what Rush did was great its just missing the prog overtones

It's really, really poor. Maybe the weakest of all Rush albums (and yes, I've got them all).

All the differents opinions and points of view that you have make me think  about... what should Rush have in their next productions to make us all agree?
what do you think they lost or change that make us miss so much their old albums?

I don't think they have lost anything but have done what Rush always does and that is move on to other musical ideas and explore different areas of rock and the reason we miss the old albums is because we like them so much and Rush hit the spot at that moment in time.

As for the new album I think it is a good direction that Rush seems to be heading in and this album is a solid one like Counterparts, but without as many flaws as Counterparts had. One reason I like this new album a lot more than the other ones is it seems Rush is incorporating more of their old sound (like the Hemispheres chord in Far Cry) in with the new to make a new hybrid Rush.

And I like it a lot. Approve

really? do you think it sounds a little like Hemispheres? Shocked  Well, in my opinion I agree whith most of you when you say it deserves a "four star" score but also when some say it is a little "noisy" sometimes, I think it's not necesary to demostrate what they can do when they play, everybody knows what they can do.  May be i  miss   when they use to play more reflexive and emotive songs based in melodies, 'cause this is a "overcharged album  with technics",  and though i like a lot S&A it's sad because music is one of the only things in the world that sometimes can be perfect.

Well you can read my review of it to see my opinion. Tongue I gave it 3.5 stars.

That one chord sounded a bit like Hemispheres but thats it.

It has the feel of the old albums but with a new modern twist on it, so Rush is definitely back!
