Ampllifier got the evening off to an entertaining start, with a storming set, Panzer was the highlight in my opinion. Trivium and Saxon were playing in the Civic Hall next door and Amplifier made a lot of jokes between songs about this making their set rather humourous at times.

PT came on to raptuous applause (well I think it was rapturous, my hearing still hadn't recovered from Amplifier's set) and started with Fear of a Blank Planet which was very popular with the croud, as was the rest of the new album particularly Anesthetize. The older songs in the set were a very welcome addition and surprisingly they felt at home with the new material, Gravity Eyelids and Sever were particularly good. The encore was also very good.

Overall it was a very enjoyable (and loud) evening. 9/10

Sorry I've got no pictures, I don't have a decent camera and I've not found any online yet.

I think they did as there was one song in the set I didn't recognise. Wink
