OK guys, I haven't been around here for a while because I've been busy at school. Yesterday we performed the school play for free to the student body, and the feedback to the play was horrible but everybody seemed to love this music parts! I played bass and electric guitars, my friend Jeremiah played drums and the school's piano teacher was rocking out on the keys.

Our band, yes its a band, played some jam-type instrumental stuff before the show started, and during intermission we played a watered down version of "Dogs" and "Sheep" off of Animals (no bass during these) and we closed the show with some original stuff. Today in the school's paper we finally got some reviews, and the reviews for the band were far better than the play. Here are some quotes"

"I personally think that the only reason people didn't go storming out was because...the band was announced to come back" - John Ramo, Junior

"Our very own Mrs. Kamenski and her two students will be responsible for this play's success" - Chief Editor Joe White, Senior

"To my knowledge, no talent has ever come out of our school that could give this amazing trio a run for their money. I am blessed to know that my students and even a member of my teaching staff are focused on the satisfaction of the audience" - Principal Dr. V. Everett Lyons

"The show was like getting a root canal, the ending music was like getting your braces off" - Kelly Walker, Freshman

The band line-up was:

Chris Henne - guitars

Jeremiah Tillman - drums, gong

Lorraine Kamenski - synthesizers, grand piano

And believe it or not, even thought she is our teacher we still have recorded original music onto tape decks outside of school, and these feature more complex set-ups including the use of a Warr guitar and a second drum set.

Great!! Keep on rocking in the free world!! Clap

BTW, I play the bass on 3 bands actually:

Retrodelia (hard/prog rock)
Silení (jazz rock / fusion)
(no name yet) (heavy and thrash metal)

I'm very busy these days when it comes to music. One of these days, I'll give you the links so you can hear some Retrodelia and Silení music.

By now, you can have fun watching this:

Silení performing Thelonious Monk's "Blue Monk" (at school):

Haha sucks for you, my principal has an awesome record collection. He's got a ton of stuff in his office too, plenty of Zappa and Beefheart as well as Floyd and psych stuff.
