Technically, it is.
The material on the album was cut down from the original show it was played at, and some songs are touched up and whatnot, there fore it is technically a studio album. ------------- Beauty will save the world.

Didn't he do that with all his live albums? If yes, are there any REAL Zappa live albums, except for the boots (and YCDTOSA Vol. 2)? Not that it matters that much. 'Ahead...' just is my least fav from this list, live or not. ------------- |

I must say, the way this was conducted was a bit unfair; most of his best known, most loved albums were in the first poll, and most of the lesser stuff in the second. If ten had been chosen from the whole thing, I don't think more than 2 or 3 would have come from the second poll. Apostrophe and Sheik would have probably made the final ten if it weren't for the unequal split.
