I AM ALLOWING MULTIPLE VOTES IN THE POLL, SO IF YOU LOVE 7 OF THEM, THEN GO AHEAD AND VOTE FOR ALL 7. I'D LIKE TO SEE LOTS OF VOTES, THAT'S WHY I CHOSE THE MULTIPLE VOTING SYSTEM.

OH YEAH, I ACCIDENTALLY PLACED "Acquiring the Taste" INSTEAD OF "Three Friends"

"Acquiring the Taste" actually came out in 1971!

Sorry.

Hope you're not too upset with the selections.

I voted for four of them (I have not heard them all).

Close to the Edge and Foxtrot. I haven't heard Thick as a Brick yet.

What an incredible year in music!  No doubt this was the pinnacle of prog music!   (It was also the year I was born.)

I chose Close to the Edge, which narrowly "edged" out Fragile, Three Friends and Per Un Amico.

1972 was a wonderful year of prog but multiple voting brings rather hilarious results, as always.

Almost all albums on the list are great, I am not familiar with the rest.

1972 also was the year "Känguru" (Guru Guru), "Carnival in Babylon" (Amon Düül 2), "Father, Son and Holy Ghost" (Embryo) and "Ege Bamyasi" (Can) appeared; for me it is a tough choice between "Ege Bamyasi" and "Känguru".

this topic is weird....

I'm fully torn against THick As A Brick and Foxtrot....(BTW,Ansen knows about this huge dilema of mine.) WHICH IS BETTER?? WHICH? Up to this month,it was Foxtrot...100%...but now jethro Tull appeared in my life...and Thick As A Brick...wow...wow...so,which? Arrrgh!

The use of multiple votes has rendered this poll completely meaningless. An album which is currently 365th in the Top 500 is beating an album which is in 10th place.

Yes, but... I can't imagine anyone voting 300 times in a row to win a prog poll... That would be too close to the prog negative stereotype...

Obscured by Clouds is a highly underrated album by Pink Floyd.

Per Un Amico... find me one flaw on that album... other than the relatively short 30 odd minute length of the album.

Don't know, this album only has 23 ratings so it getting 300+ here is too funny and reinforces how useless some polls can be.

Who'd I vote for? Nektar of course! Maybe one day I'll even listen to them...
