Hi there everybody, I have a problem.

I'm able to login to the forum and post as usual, but when I try to submit a review, the site tells me that I'm not logged and so to do it; I log in and then I try again with the exactly the same result, what can I do?
Thks a lot!

When you click the button to bring up the submit review window thingy, make sure you are logged in there. That might be where the problem lies.

I am already logged in.

I had this problem once

See if it comes from your internet browser or firewall configs...

If the problem persists,
- desactivate your firewall just the time to login,
- login,
- reactivate your firewall

This is what I did and the problem disappeared for good

Ok I have the same problem with my home pc.But mine has only happened since my status was upgraded to prog reviewer. Before then I had no such problem.I can however submit reviews from my work pc for some reason.I've tried loggin out of my work pc but that makes no difference to my home pc.
Switching off the firewall doesn't work for me either.

Anyone else having log in problems when trying to submit reviews?

This was a major change for the site, so it's quite possible there are some gremlins to be ironed out.

That'll be the review quality filter working then!!

Anyway, why are you submitting reviews from work? I'd never dream of doing that myself.Wink

I think it's not the best thing to do. You may lose connection with all your reviews, etc. unless you want to forget your past... Big%20smile

Let's see if some other Admin has a better alternative. Smile

I've started getting this one lately too. I'm logged in to the forum, but now get prompted again to log in when submitting a review. When I try to do the second login, this VB error pops up.

I have found that clearing my browser cache seems to work, but this is definitely a coding issue. I'd check line 5 of the album.asp source code.

I'm encountering the same problems right now! I'm logged in, I can't review, the same error message.

I can try clearing my browser cache. What should I do to achieve that?

This might not have much to do with the subject but i'd like to be deleted so i can re-register and post new reviews. Not because i have any problem posting reviews, but because i notice many of my previous reviews sucks, and now i have started to listen to many of the bands to be found in progs 'back catalogue', and i find myself not agreeing with my previous reviews. Can this be done? Or even better, can i delete all my reviews, and start over?

Thanks in advance.

I think you can ask an admin to delete your reviews.

Drop me a PM Prayermad, with details of the reviews to be removed.

I'm having this problem, too. One possible explanation might be tabbed browsing. I'm going to close my browser, re-open it, log in, and the proceed to the reviews without opening any new tabs, to see if that works.rlndrlnd025

It did not work. I also tried clearing the browser cache, and deleting any progarchives cookies. Neither of these worked, either.

The bug has now been identified and sorted. If anyone still has problems logging in to post reviews could they post details here please. (This is to do with logging in only, not the current first review bug).

I just posted two reviews, it took a long while before these reviews appeared on the homepage.

Different point Erik.

A lot of the front page is cached now. I'm not a techy, but I believe that effectively means if the site is busy, it gives a lower priority to the updating of some of the information .

Glad I found this post, I was having this problem also and turning off my firewall didn't work. I had to turn off everything security related, then I was finally able to log on to give a review.
