Does anyone like Machiavel here ?

I like very much "Mechanical Moonbeams" and I have made a discover :

Everywhere I have found this cover :

But I have this cover (LP bought in France in 1978) :

The explanation :

"Only for the Machiavel Net Collectors This cover from Mechanical Moonbeams (L.P. Vinyl album released in 1978) has been distributed in France only ."

It seems I have a collector !!!

Maybe it's worth a lot! Be careful with it!

But I don't know the band, what's their music like?

Joren,

You know how much it is difficult for me to explain with words (and english words !!) that I feel with music.

They have been compared to Yes (rough comparison for me).

The best for you in to read their bio in Progarchives and to try to HEAR the music

I suggest you "The Fifth Season"

I've read their bio, but it says nothing about their music

And there's a lot of bands I still need to check out: Caravan, Can, King Crimson (I only have Court), Porcupine Tree, Renaisance (I can't help it that I'm a newbie)

Caravan...yes you have to check it out
Nine Feet Underground (on In the land of grey and pink) is probably one of the best SONGS I EVER heard...This Song, even it is 23 min. long, is probably the Song that had the very most rotations in my stereo and I still love it...

To Joren : Renaissance featured in their second era the beautiful voice of Annie Haslam, and I would recommend "Song of Scheherazade" but the other records are not less interesting. About KC, one of their best rated albums is "Red", and it is indeed a masterpiece.

Machiavel is my second prog band (just after Genesis).

I discovered Machiavel in brussel in 1978 with the fantastic album called "Mechanical Moonbeams".

"Jester" and "Urban Games" are equally really good albums.

But I don't like now the new sound of Machiavel

I'm searching everything about Kayak and Flame Dream
