Maybe the math is not there, maybe you can say "well, if I buy 1-5 albums a week it's the same as 10-20 a month".... yes, i know, but usually people allow their budgets to go just so far and set time lines and periods of expenditure (?!?). So, whatever, no Keynes or Friedman here, just vote please. if you may. if you april. If you july ...
I buy about 1-5 albums bi-weekly. That's like 10 albums a month. that's like 120 albums a year. Like 1200 a decade. I don't know. sometimes I buy like 30 albums in one month and then sometimes just a couple. So, any comments?  -------------

| 1-5 a month.Actually I didn't purchase any CD's in January (recovering from Xmas!) but have just ordered a couple of Tangerine Dream albums at a reasonable price.I don't plan on spending more than £200 on CD's and music DVD's this year.Might be quite hard though.In the past I have spent over £500 in one year but nowadays I just can't afford it. |

| I try to buy 5 every two months. I listen to them and then enter them into my regular rotation with the rule that only one listen per CD until my entire collection has been listened to and we start all over again. |

5-10 a month. I often buy more tho, i wish i didn't. You could say i'm addicted to buying cds. I spend almost every cent i get on prog albums. Unlike a few other people that i know that are like that tho, i listen to all the cds i buy many times

5-10 a month. I'm in a massive amount of debt from college, so I shouldn't be buying anywhere near that, but in a very literal way I'm addicted to hearing new music. -------------

Last year I would have said 1-5 a month, some months more, some less, but I've had the money to buy 1 album this year and I've been broke since.

1-5 a month. I wish I could buy more, but my financial situation doesn't allow it at the moment. Luckily, Finland has an excellent library system where I can get pretty much anything I want (as long as it's not some ultra obscure prog act).

1-5 albums a month. If this included albums burnt by friends, or concerts I've downloaded off of Internet Archive, the number would be higher. This month will be particularly busy for me, though...

Do you mean CDs only or albums in general? I buy 1-5 CDs each month, plus 5-10 albums that I download from eMusic.com.

That really depends on the price. If it's single albums for below 100 kronor (Swedish currency) I usually get two or three. But if it's a double album perhaps I only buy one a month. -------------

| On average I would say around 10-20. My spending seems to come in waves, depending on mood, money, what genre of music I am buying. It will take me a lot longer to disguest several heavy Avant-garde CD's, hence I will not find the need to buy more album to a set date. |

| With DVDs now in the mix, my budget's a bit tighter for CDs. Paying $45CAD for something like Gentle Giant's GG at the GG tends to tap out my allowance quickly ! Still worth every dollar, that & Giant on the Box, which I also bought for about the same amount, before they put a separate DVD only edition for 35cad. .I still trawl the second hand shop bins for LPs & CDs though. That's usually where I'll take more chances on new (to me) music. |
