I THINK I SPEAK ON BEHALF OF ALL PROG FANS WHEN I SAY... OUR THOUGHTS GO OUT NOT JUST TO OUR SPANISH PROG FRIENDS BUT TO ALL THE BRAVE PEOPLE OF SPAIN IN THIER HOUR OF GRIEF..................life is just to damn short.

Life is short enough without the zealots and fanatics of this world cutting it shorter in the quest for recognition or the extension of religious intolerance.

Violence can never be the answer to a problem, this only breeds more violence in an ascending spiral; tit follows tat with the innocent left to bury their families and try to re-build their lives. Over the last few years, we have all seen the evidence of this, from the streets of Omagh in Northern Ireland, to the World Trade Centre in 2001, to a Bali nightclub, and now to commuter trains in Madrid.

Whatever the cause, whatever your personal crusade, whatever your beef with the world in general, or a particular group or individual, violence in any of its myriad forms, DOES NOT WORK AS A NEGOTIATING TOOL!

As always, my heart goes out to the families

You said it perfectly, Jim.

And don't forget the fathers of Spain. I cried when I read the account of the devastation.

"And, has thou slain the Jabberwock?
Come to my arms, my beamish boy!
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!'
He chortled in his joy.
