Yes, its happening. Riverside is just at the end of writing the material for their new album "Rapid Eye Movement"... They shall also enter the studio shortly. 9 new tracks on this one. REM will probably be a less metallic and far softer, melancholic and psychedelic album compared to Second Life Syndrome (Well, the musicians themselves wrote its gonna be the softest of the Reality Dream Trilogy). Had art rock, had prog metal, gonna have psychedelic? Artwork by Travis Smith. Distribution worldwide via InsideOut. And now lets all just wait till September 2007... Wink
for those who understand polish: http://www.riverside.art.pl - www.riverside.art.pl (strangely, only the polish version of the site has this info... now)

2007 album of the year?

I'm going to go ahead and put money on it.

Although, Porcupine Tree will probably prove to be strong competition, and it looks like Opeth will release something this year also. Not to mention at least a couple of other strong possible contenders.

Man, this is going to be a good year.

I'm very stoked about the new Riverside now. I like Second Life Syndrome, but I thought it lacked Out Of Myself's ethereal beauty and atmosphere. I know Riverside can really grind it out, but something about this band just hits me when they stick a perfect melody (especially on "The Curtain Falls"). This could be a monster of an album.

^^ I don't know if I'd call it a triple album, but it is a trilogy of albums.  It's called the Reality Dream trilogy if I'm not mistaken.
