Just curiosity... I have seen some posts that look like the author just didn't even look at the last post.... (not that I haven't ever done that EmbarrassedBig smile)

I voted "each and every one" although I occasionally skip some (mostly if the discussion transforms into a couple of people's private discussion).

Same here. Although, if its like 5 pages or more I usually skip around to just people I know better.

If it's not too long, I do. If it's several pages long, I usually don't read all posts, just skim through to get the point.

It depends what it is. Most of the time I read things to prevent saying something that has already been said.

I usually use these two methods if the thread is longer than 5 pages.

I only read my own posts, to check my spelling, and maybe react to it at a later date.

In general I'm not interested in what the subject matter is, or who says what.
sometimes I skim the surface of the other posts, but only for the first two words, and the smiley's (which i like to watch at)

sometimes I read the thread title, so my non-sensical typing seems to fit in with the subject matter. sometimes I even quote other people's posts, but that's just for a nice lay-out, and my entry has nothing to do with the text I quoted.

after I quoted someone and I return to the threat to read my own post I sometimes also read the quoted text, and if needed I make my post appear to be about the quoted text, but that's just the surface, basically I am only interested in my own brainwaves.

@Tux

I can assure you that most people appear not to read anything other than the maybe the first and last post.

If you want proof that this is true check out this thread:

^That's only one person not reading all of the posts. That's not proof for most people doing the same thing. Wink

But I agree with you. A lot of people don't seem to read anything other than the first and last post. I personally read all of them.

I usually read the full thread

 I tend to skip from the OP to the last page when there are word games in the 'just for fun' section which have reached 500 pages though Smile

I try to read each and every one, even if it is 30-40 pages long. But sometimes I read the first few and last few pages of a post.
