I suspect it's not recognising it as a jpeg because the way it reads the script doesn't give it the jpg extension.

That reminds me of the old show band kits ie. Gene Krupa or Buddy Ritch. No bad thing I might add.

Drums: beat-up/well worn mix of 1960s-70s Ludwig and Rogers drums in blue sparkle.  bass: 20" or 24".  snare: 5x14" Acrosonic. toms: 12" + 13" mounted (offset), 14" + 16" floor (16" tubed for pitch-bending and amplified).  In minimal-space setting I'll usually just go with bass/snare/12/16 setup.

cymbals: old Zildjians & Paistes. 14" hihats, 16" + 18" crashes, 20" chinese (cracked, doubles as 2nd ride), 21" ride, 10" splash; 12" custom effect (formerly 14" bottom hihat) + 8" splash + 3 cup chimes (not mounted, often laid on amplified floor tom & bowed or struck w/mallet).

heads: Evans (various)

hardware: various, incl. Pearl double pedal.

percussion: vibes, tabla, tambourines, frame drums, bells, goat hooves, shakers, spring coils, etc.

electronics: contact mics + SM57s for amplification, Peavey 6-channel mixer, Blacet modular synthesizer and various effects pedals for sound-mangling

I have a gorgeous 6 piece TAMA starclassic Bubinga....

Previously owned by Bill Bruford himself....

The snare is a brand-new Bruford signature snare, and the cymbals are just Sabian (one Zildian), but the rest of the set (hardware, skin, shells) were owned and played by Bruford himself at a drum clinic in Ottawa that I attended.

I would marvel at how awesome it is that you have a kit previously owned by Bruford, but that would clearly stroke your ego, and I'd hate to do that.  So:

Haha, you have a second-hand drum kit!  Everybody knows that any respectable drummer buys a brand-new kit.

When did Bruford use that kit?

Sometime last November, I think it was, at a church in downtown Ottawa where he hosted the drum clinic. There are actually 2 low quality videos of the clinic on youtube, if you do a search with keywords "Bruford" or "Drum Clinic" and "Ottawa" you'll find it.

I've seen some of those drum clinic videos on YouTube.  Have you seen Bruford and the Beat?  Some instructional video he made in the 80's (or with his 80's kit anyways), and quite interesting stuff.  I don't even play drums and I was interested.

Rings a bell, but I don't think I've seen the videos. Anyway, I'm off to leave earth, being escorted by an Arvo Part album. Ciao/chow!
