Rush tour rumor mill: tour will begin Spring 2007!!
Courtesy of http://www.rushisaband.com
Tony Geranios a.k.a. "Jack Secret" has been a guitar/keyboard tech for Rush since way back on the A Farewell to Kings tour. There's been a rumor floating around the "Rushisphere" for the last week or so that Jack Secret has said that Rush's next tour will begin in the late spring of 2007. If ever there was a "Rush tour insider", Jack Secret is it. So if he says they'll tour in the Spring of 2007, then it's very likely to happen.
Blog master Ed Stenger makes this comment:
However, as I said, this is just a rumor - there's been no official confirmation or anything. So take it with a grain of salt.

Looking forward to taking my son to see this tour. It will be my 13th time seeing them, going back to 2112.
Hopefully not the last!

I think, that they''ll do a tour after release of their new album, so late spring is quite possible. I pray that they'll come to Poland this time. They visited Czech Republic last time, so maybe now it's time for Poland. Besides Geddy's parents were Poles. :)

I hope Peart changes his drum solo as it's starting to get boring...same solo for the past 20 years

Hehe, yeah he could be more creative. But who cares? :D They play on stage as if it was in the studio and I still love their live albums. Genesis is coming to Poland in june, Marillion in may, maybe Rush in april? :> Or in june, because I'm not going to see Genesis anyway.

Rush still has to make up with Europe... one tour in 12 years isn't enough to satisfy the European Rush league!

They could always bring back John Rutsey Pah! I will not hear a word against The Professor
Maybe this time I'll not be on holiday, or away - it's been 18 years since I've seen them

Peart's drum solos are essentially a stand alone piece of music, same as any other song in the set list, he varies it from tour to tour, like adding the jazzy influenced stuff with the big band samples the last few tours, but asking him to change it is like saying "I hope they change 2112, it's been the same for thirty years".

I think the same, peart solos have a lot of work and dedication.
O baterista was nominated to a grammy, a prog band in a grammy is very big thing
