As the initial post says, the first one is excluded. The rest are all there.

Up until recently I would have gone for "Third stage", which is a superb album. Of late though, I've been listening to "Walk on" a lot. It's really grown on me.

What on earth went wrong with "Corporate America", it's so out of place in an otherwise excellent discography.

I only have heard the debut and Don't Look Back, and I definitely prefer the debut.  I haven't listened to Boston in years though (on my own I mean, besides on the radio and stuff).

Remember Barry Goodreau's band Orion The Hunter? I bought that on CD a few years ago (I had it on LP as a kid) and it just hasn't held up with age.

Don't Look Back gets my vote.

the problem is their first album was the only real good album they ever made... I cannot vote then...

I'm pretty sure Corporate America's their worst...

  Don't look back. great album.
Anyway Walk on is great too and even Corporate America is catchy and enjoyable. I've never understood why this band did not make more albums; however perfectionist can one be, it still does not explain anything. Tom Scholz is a talented musician IMHO.

Apparently Scholz is a bit of an eccentric. Rock emprasario John Kalodner claimed he was the craziest guy he ever worked with, claiming Scholz wouldn't let Kalodner near his house and insisted on meeting Kalodner in person and that once he got a job to write the theme for 'Independence Day'...only delivering the finished work a year late!! Don't know if it's true, but it's a great story.

I never bothered with any of them after 'Don't Look Back'. Such a poor attempt at cloning the genuinely great debut, imo. Weaker in every respect. That said, the positives I've heard about the next two albums make me think I should give them a go at some time.

I liked "Don't Look Back" quite a bit, but couldn't stand "Third Stage." I gave up after that.
