The following was posted earlier today on Frost's website by John Jewitt
Dear all, there’s no easy way to tell you this so….
It is with great regret that I have to announce that Frost* are calling it a day for now.
Increasing time, financial and commitment levels have decreed that I'm no longer able to give Frost* the attention it was starting to require and, as such, I have made the decision to suspend the project indefinitely. It's better, I feel, to not do it at all than do it badly.
With my professional music career entering a new and significantly more demanding phase, the imminent arrival of my second child and the hours in the day being limited to just 24 on this planet, Frost* has had to be the sacrificial lamb or else I’ll die much earlier than I’m planning to. The pressure has been extraordinary in the last few months.
The remaining 4 gigs will still go ahead as planned.
The remaining T-Shirts will be available via the website shortly. We shall put an announcement up with pictures for all to see. If you’d like to buy one (or four! ), payment will be via Paypal (just as soon as I’ve set an account up!)
Can I take this public opportunity to thank the other 3 Frosties for all their time, skill and effort - dear little things that they are.
The website will remain up and running.
The View From The Cube will stick around too, but after the final instalment of the tour diary, I won’t be updating it for the foreseeable future. (Unless my Tardis collapses during the winter in which case, there’ll be a full report…)
As and when time allows, I shall be continuing to write and record. If there’s anything worth hearing, you’ll be the first to know. Also, although I will try to be around as much as possible on the forum and MySpace to say “Hello!”, it won’t be as much as it used to be for the time being. Lots to do I’m afraid.
I hope you’ll understand.
Lastly, can I just say a HUGE thank you to you lovely people for being so supportive of the whole Frost* endeavour. We’ve had a total ball and we couldn’t have done a lot of this whole thing without your love, enthusiasm and, most importantly, humour.
You’ve been brilliant. Thank you.
Until then, then.
Jem x

Wow bad news indeed!
The annoying thing is that I originally had suspicions that this would be a one-album gig given that the musicians each had other bands to play in.
Jem assure me that Frost were the "real deal" with a 5 album outlook. Jem even claimed that the next album's material was already on its way.

Yes, a real shame. Still at least those involved have other fine projects to return to.

Aw, man, just when I thought we had another great new band with at least four more albums ahead of them. Very, very sad news for me, Milliontown being my favorite album of 2006 so far...
Undoubtedly a classic, even more so now...
Thanks Jem and the guys for the amazing album.

Excellent album. I am still absorbing some parts of it but, yes, a shame to have a group this good have to hang it up so early.
Then again, maybe in a year or two or three.......

Its a pity but to be honest I would have been more sad if had affected IQ adversely in any way.

I am so disappointed - I only discovered Frost* about a month ago and have played nothing else since - I realy hope you get the chance to pursue the project again in the future.
In the meantime, thanks for a truly great album.
