Which is the best Muse album, according to you? I go with Absolution.
Posted this in the Prog Polls section, as Muse are on the site. But as
they are Prog Related only, perhaps it should be in the Non-Prog Music
section? Feel free to move it if needed.

The highlights of BH&R are amazing, but there isn't a weak track at all on Origin of Symmetry.

I've over-played OoS a little, and Absolution was my first love
anyways, but I agree that OoS is a very strong album. I'm rather fond
of the debut aswell.

I voted for Origin of Symmetry. I'm actually at a point where I don't really like Bliss or Plug-In Baby, but everything else on that album is absurdly good.
Absolution is great but a little too polished for my taste; OOS just seemed more raw. And that trend continued for BHAR, which has several great tracks but overall was a bit disappointing.

So nobody likes the debut best? I think it's fairly overlooked.

I prefer the debut to BHaR. Although it's good it's their weakest album to date in my opinion.

Origin for sure; that was the album that got me into Muse. And it has Citizen Erased

Citizen Erased could be my favourite Muse song. But it has some though competition.

Almost too close to call but I felt that BH&R didn't have enough votes

The debut was a good album, but it missed a certain 'something' - Origin Of Symmetry hits all the right buttons for me every time I play it; I'm just not sure they've reached that level again since...

Absolution is a brilliant album, even if it doesnt have Citizen Erased, which is easily their best song.

I conclude that Showbiz is underappreciated here.

I believe "Origin of Simmetry" is far more original than the commercial song-oriented "Absolution". Still, my vote goes to to "Black Holes and Revelations", a very epic work and the one which fills more in the concept of a "movie for the ears".

Black Holes and Revelations is indeed good, not at all as bad as many here have said (in my opinion, of course)

Absolution is the best I think, although Starlight is probably their best song I think.

I probably look at the question with a more 'pop' minded view when i say i think black holes and revalations is their best album, but i think its absolutely brilliant, probably do to the fact that I was introduced to their music through this album.... obviously they are all of high quality.
Love the song plug in baby

I just heard BHAR and it's amazing... My only complaint is the vocals are too much copy/paste from Radiohead's Yorke (with a little bit Bono in the mix), but the music (and the way those vocals go over it) are great and should be in the art rock section. Great album.

No I haven't, but after what I heard in BHAR, I sure will follow that advice! Great band, original yet simple, rocky yet poppy, excellent.

I prefer Absolution, but Symmetry was a good sort of stepping stone to what was to come. Black Holes wasn't quite as good as i'd hoped
