    What exactly is the algorithm used to determine the top 100 list? Just curious.

It is based on the star ratings plus the number of ratings. Mike is the best person to explain it further. As you'll see from the front page, he came up with it.

It is a combination of the average rating and the number of reviews. A mathematical function (a logarithm, to be precise) is used to limit the effect of the number of reviews - so in a nutshell the ranking is defined mostly by the average rating, but also affected by the number of reviews.
