PA lists 25 bands in the Zeuhl category:
http://www.progarchives.com/subgenre.asp?style=11 - http://www.progarchives.com/subgenre.asp?style=11

However, I picked those I am familiar with (some other in that list, are not clear cut Zeuhl, like Far Corner) and also added some still not on PA such as Abus Dangereux for instance.

Out of this list, which is the band that pleases you most.

If you have another band not mentioned, please post it.

EDIT: Black Velvet - Now you have Verto.
A misfortunate omisson.

Hey Young, nice to see you.

Well you know me, I can't choose, even if my life depended on it... LOL

Anyway, great list.

Abus and Eldar are on the voting list of the ZART and have both Black Velvet and my vote and wait for one more to be cleared. Then they are as good as in.
Oh, and Vortex are on the list as well.

Anyway, form your list, I like very much the following:
Archaia, Bodage Fruit, Dun, Eskaton, Koenjihyakkei, Magma, Potemkine, Ruins, Weidorje and Zao.

Trust me to pick one not from the list, but I have to go with Verto. Though it was a rather hard decision, with Abus Dangereus and Archaia following close behind. I have only just heard Archaia over the last few weeks, but they have left a deep impressing on me.

Now you can vote for Verto.

I like Magma alot. Ive only heard them, Eskaton and Guapo though, so I am far from a Zeuhl expert!

Magma.

No Magma = no Zeuhl, so I have to go with the originators.

Magma aside, Koenjihyakkei are my favourite current Zeuhl band, with highly honourable mentions to Shub Niggurath and Eskaton.

Unfortunately I have not heard good part of bands on this list.
Magma, Zao, Weidorje, Potemkin, Runaway Totem, Universal Totem Orchestra and Ruins are those I know and like, - they are all great, but my vote goes for Eskaton, their album "4 visions" just blew me away.

Saddly I don't know as much as all of you do about the Zeuhl genre, but I got to say that Eskaton's 4 vision is a great album. I love it. I won't vote though.

I only know Magma and DÜN. Perhaps it is time to seek out some of the others. Maybe Eskaton or Zao?

If you want bands more inclined towards Magma, then try the excellent Eskaton and Shub Niggurath, Abus Dangereux, Eider Stellaire, Weidorje.

If you want some Zeuhl which deviates from the "norm" try Potemkine, Ruins, Koenjihyakkei, Bodage Fruit.

Anyway, with the bands in this list, you can't go wrong.
