Please excuse me if this has been previously covered, but do you folks
know some really good rare prog CD dealers/retailers? I've tried the
ProgArchives advertisers, as well as Amazon and eBay, and they don't
have the material I'm looking for.

Any help would be most graciously appreciated.

You could try http://www.musicstack.com - www.musicstack.com - they have retailers all over the world.  I've found cheap second hand deleted albums from Russia on that site, but just be wary of the sellers who are not regulated by Musicstack - read their feedback etc.  Many sellers claim to stock things, but actually just order them upon receipt of your order, often failing altogether - this results in huge delays, no delivery, and long drawn out refunds.  Look out for the term Special Order Item, and avoid it unless you're desperate. I got a brand new Can's Future Days for about £3 from Thirdworld CDs - took a while to arrive, but when it did, it was wrapped in lovely brown paper packaging and tied up with string!!! (Padded inside obviously).

What kind of stuff are you looking for, just out of interest, as there may be a more mainstream seller who has it.

If i want something really rare, i always try out the dealers at the local record/cd fairs (held thoughout the UK) they can usually get almost anything given the time.
