Hi there, happy to meet you all.

I run a general discussion forum, on a King Crimson (court of the crimson king) theme, I urgently need new members, who are British and know who King Crimson are! We're an excentric lot, but surreal and witty, despite appearances, please have a look and join and make a post! I will love you forever if you do, thank you.

Aha! - Another Cropredy go-er.... I don't know how many years you've been going (15 years, personally), but if you're there in 2005 (definitely confirmed now, with Richard Thompson headlining Friday Night), you'll probably see me in the garden of the Brasenose, or in the cemetery opposite The Red Lion - I'll buy you a pint of Hook Norton & we can bitch about the other members of this forum

SmileHave the first HN for me, Jim -- a fine beer! (ErmmMaybe I should start a "tasty beers for progholes" thread here -- swillers of Coors Blight Dead need not apply!)

Then you can complain about me, with your "edges" thus "rounded off" by the golden elixir....Wink

Cheers, mate! Thanks for the Queen Liz-like Xmas message -- you're a pal!Big smile

LOLBTW, Jimbo, I heard about that nice cemetery you mentioned -- apparently, people are dying to get in there. (badda-boom!) Ouch

Lay off the fags, friend, and delay your internment there....

Mmmmmm, beer. Great idea for a thread.

You see what happens here? A young lady joins the forum, only to have her 'hello' thread hijacked by grimy old progholes like Danbo, Peter and Myself (Dude, Dude, wherefore art thou?).

Sorry, Nancyrowina, this sort of thing tends to occur quite often.....

Anyway, back on thread - Are Radiohead prog?

And yes, guys, I do intend to try to knock this damned habit on the head during 2005 - there's too much good music out there to miss out by dying young

Whenever I occasionally browse other forums, there is inevitably some forum moderator saying "Welcome-Look how mad we are" etc or words to that effect.

I like that- it tells me straightaway what a bunch of boring nerds they are going to be!

You might as well post a sign:

That's very harsh, the warped humour is a result of a bunch of people who have been talking to each other for years, running out of things to say.

If new people join the content will change, that's the point of what i'm doing. I'm trying to break it to them gently we've got to get rid of the butt sex thread.

I'll have a mutiny if I change things too quickly.

Looking at all your threads, there was hardly one based on the music of KC itself. ....it almost seems like a teenage chat lounge to me. Where is the love of KC?

No, it was last year, Drumbo was singing. I'm afraid they lost most of their 'magic' when the Captain left. Nonetheless, it was a fine concert! (I bought a Magic Band T-shirt)

Drumbo did pretty well when I saw them, he was wearing a big white coat and hat, and got the voice. He even started getting the old gesticulating at the audience thing going. But sadly we had to leave before the end of the gig, as it was in London, and we'd miss the last ferry to the Isle Of Wight if we stayed till the end.

Still deciding, We prog fans cannot be rushed into important decisions like this. Do you know the enormous amount of time I spend on this site already. I don't know if I could spare anymore. This decision is like when you go on a long roadtrip and you're trying to decide which 10 cds you'll bring for audio entertainment. Such a decision cannot be made on a whimsy, nilly, willy, whatever I grab will be fine with me spur of the moment. NO! One must ponder thoughtfully which cds will make the road trip most rewarding. This is some deep s##t! One cannot trifle away with such a monumental decision trivially!!

I NEED TIME!!! BACK OFF WOMAN AND GIVE ME TIME!!

 That's right!

and, Syzygy, KOBAIA ISS DE HUNDIN? Into Magma?

YEAH! That is one fine group of musicians AYEEEEE!

You and Vassago have to meet, if you hate each other, the resulting war will be amazing, if you like each other the combination would be lethal.

And leave my broomstick out of this, or I'll turn you into a newt (and you won't get better!)

A few years ago when I started my internet odyssey I was all over the place annyoing people left, right and centre, but it started to consume far too much time so eventually I scaled it down to this place exclusively and even this forum can sometimes "steal" more of my time than I would ideally like,so I simply don't have time enough on my hands for any more extensive web activity than this place. Sorry,Nancy.

Let's face it Noncy, if your site was a Concert Event it would be Geri Halliwell.....

our site would be a Genesis Reunion Tour with Gabriel and Hackett along for the party!
