No really weak songs on here...
I went with Child In Time, mainly for the vocal performance and guitar solo.

Space Truckin' f**king rocks on this album! It's my choice...

You've just had a heavy session of electroshock therapy, and you're more relaxed than you've been in weeks.

My all time favorite Purple song is not in Made in Japan but in Made in Europe "Burn" and it's magnifiscent organ solo is by far the best song IMHO.

I remember for a party when we were at school, we tried to include this song in our repertoire, we had practiced a lot, but our keyboardist got lost in the solo, thanks God most people was already drunk and didn't noticed it very much, it was terrible.

My top 3 from Made in Japan:

  1. Highway Star
  2. Child in Time
  3. Smoke in the Water

Yikes...Space truckin has always been my fave, the textures in the quiet organ and guitar solos as opposed to the noisy ones are just great

"Strange Kind of Woman" - because of excellent Gillan - Blackmore "duel".

"Space Truckin'" is my least fav on the album, it seems to me too long.

The six-star masterpiece itself! Heart Well, it's "Child in Time" for me (the stuff of legends!) followed by "Highway Star".

Space Trucking blew me away when I first heard it back in the 70's and it still does it for me - brilliant stuff. The whole album rates as my favourite live album of all time!
