It's late where I am and I'm sipping on a beer listening to some Porcupine Tree.
Suddenly the thought came to me. I kinda miss the DT poles....................how about you?

Don't miss 'em, but I guess I there's no poll that I would miss.... Incidentally I vote, but most of them are beyond my interest, and reading the reactions is kinda boring.

hahahhah  Sacred you are the man in spite of comparing my beloved PFM to elevator music last night....

this place wouldn't be the same with Dream Theater polls and the visual spectacle of the Symphonic Horseman riding herd right through the terrified masses of acne scarred teens clutching their Petrucci blow up dolls   hahahhahahah

Not really, there are a lot of prog metal bands on the same par as them that should be talked about.

I suppose that was a bit harsh..........................however, I am honest often to a fault Wink

Ah Yes, this place is overrun with those "terrified masses of acne scarred teens cluthing their Petrucci blow up dolls" and those beloved Dream Theater polls bring us older folk a little closer to those young ones. Quality time where we can hone our positions on the matter complete with insults and the odd bit of humour.....................................................but alas, it's all for not  Cry.

I do wonder what the first poll would be?
Dream Theater vs ?????????????????????????????????????????????

"Ritchie Blackmore is.. well, Ritchie Blackmore: that is, the guitarist that defined playing for most of the aspiring axemen of the late Seventies and early Eighties. Though there may be more gifted guitarists in a purely technical sense (I think of a certain American gentleman whose surname starts with P...)"

It would seem you are slowely warming up to Mr P.

The DT faithful will most certainly be pleased.Shocked

With "Score" being released on 29th August there will definitely be a BIG increase of DT polls.

Yeah, but there is a delicious, cruel irony to it.

How about a poll about your favorite DT poll:

Favorite DT album
DT album vs. album "x"
DT v. band "x"
Best DT band member
DT band member "x" v. another band member "x"

Yes.....good idea, but I'm not sure if that will fly under the radar. I guess it's worth a try and of course much research would have to be done to uncover all the DT polls that have been done to date. I'm not so sure it could all fit on one poll sheet, then again I guess the ones with the most pages would have the greatest amount of appeal. Food for thought........Wink
