It is christmas day but i found time to ask this question. Can anyone explain this to me. I have got one of their albums which i am not a fan of and it definetly aint prog to my ears. ------------- Long live progression. Will |

| I agree. I don't mind their music though, although the style has become somewhat clichéd with numerous similar bands springing up of late. |

I realise you don't like Nightwish, but that doesn't in itself mean they should not be here. There are I'm sure, bands each of us doesn't like on the site. Just ignore the ones you don't like, and concentrate on the ones you do. It's highly unlikely any band is going to be removed from the site once their on, so it's probably better to draw on your positive energy, and fight for the ones who are not here who you think should be. Nightwish are certainly not beacons of traditional prog, but they sit well with the symphonic prog metal of bands like Rhapsody, Symphony X, perhaps even Dream Theater. They warm my codgels on cold nights!
