A new game ... with sound!

The link takes you to a 30 second mp3 file with 10 three second sound smippets from some prog tracks.

Can you pick the 10 tracks?

http://www.geocities.com/trox59/10-in-30_TRox01.mp3 - http://www.geocities.com/trox59/10-in-30_TRox01.mp3

There is a three second silent lead in to allow the media player to kick in (my media player always has a bit of a delay in starting the sound, hence the silence)

I don't know about this (the general concept,that is)...Ermm

First of all,it's very hard to know the piece.I myself can only guess the artist.

And three seconds?!!

Second of all, what do you do in case no one knows it?!

Anyway,here's what's up:

2 - ELP
5 - Genesis
6 - King Crimson
8 - Hocus Pocus (Focus)

Is no-one going to try to guess the remaining tracks? Cry

...and I thought this was such a good idea for a game.

At the range all these bands have, it is very hard to pinpoint the exact piece.

Once more,TRox, the idea is not completely bad,but resume to just artists. The ambiance set by the crop, the orientation of the sound, the effect of its own should be enough to make out of guessing an artist or a band a nice game. Smile

Rico, are you saying just "name the band" rather than "name the track" Question

I was thinking of doing six seconds per track next time ... then I could call the thread something really original like "Gone In 60 Seconds"!
