Although I live in New Jersey, I've only been to White Castle once (was good actually). I'd have to go with Arby's though, since their food taste more "real" than any other fast food place I've been to.

Don't eat that. You'll get a stomachache, or you'll get very fat and sick. Now, perhaps the quality of those services there is far better than here; but a friend ate a Burger at burger king (local version) and vomite for a week because of how old the meat was. Anyway, it's your life and your money. I cook for myself, because I love myself tremendously. Crostini is my way of life. Other: Wendy's. Only "burger" type fast food I can deal with (McDonald's just makes me sick now). Best Mexican fast food: Chipotle. The poll is also missing Subway, another favorite of mine, and though it might not technically be fast food, places like Panera Bread and Cosi serve much better food than McD/BK fairly fast, though at appreciably higher cost. |

MOS Burger is a Japanese fast food chain that shows how well it can be done. When I was over there they had 300+ restaurants serving freshly cooked fresh food including burgers that tasted of beef and chips (fries) that had recognisably once been part of a potato. They also served the drinks in actual glasses and even supplied cutlery. Of course, they were dwarfed by the likes of McDonalds and KFC, but they were only slightly more expensive and infinitely better.

Pizza is the best fast food, and for the list I'll chose Pizza Hut, of course here in my city there's a Pizza restaurant better than Pizza Hut. Oh, and some tacos from a local restaurant. -------------

My wife and I were hungry and decided to try the new Chipotle they opened near where we live in Corona. I walked in and was horrified by all the metal surfaces inside the restaurant, it was so loud and clangy that it seriously disturbed my chi. Although my wife was peeved at me I couldn't hang inside that place and we ate at the chinese fast food next door.
 I've heard from other people that they have good food.My vote goes to arby's. Since I went Vegetarian about six years ago, this has been one of the fast food places I miss the most. ------------- DEATH TO FALSE PROG! |

My favourite fast food restaurant is NANDO'S, they serve flame-grilled Peri-Peri chicken from Portugal. I was in there the other evening as it happens...you can have half a chicken cooked with hot spices and served dripping with hot chili sauce with chips and coleslaw and ice cold "bottomless" glass of ice cold coke and....mmmm... i'm HUNGRY!!!!!

Well I got my lunch from the Streatham branch of Nado's the other week and I had the Eartha Kitts something chronic the next day. Well, I guess since I either don't have a "chi" or don't subscribe to the fact that I do, the decor wasn't bothersome for me. Remember that I thought Chipotle was among the better Mexican "fast food" - it's not like it compares to an actual Mexican restaurant. FWIW: one of my friends is Vegan, and Chipotle veggie burritos are among his favorites. |

The tough thing to realize with fast food is that your products must be tasting exactly the same all over the planet, while meeting the local taste. The good thing about fast food is that if you do not know where to eat safely (bacteriologically speaking that is) in say....... India (you can die of complications of diarrheas just earting a peach, because your immune system is not prepared for those microbes), than international fast foods chains is the answer.
While I am an ardent defender of Gastronomy (yes, with the big G), I do not tend to attack fast foods too much, because they have their use when not abused of
I suppose Subway is the equivalentof Submarine >>> OK
Burgers >>> BK and Wendy's are the best (but I have been in Wendy's in 20 years)
Pizzas >>> the Hut is fine , but the local pizzeria/trattoria is also good
Taco Bell is an insult to tex-mex food, though!
Lots of these FF chains I do not know on this list, though! I suppose they are US only
