Ok. This polish band is very rarely discussed here and so I thought of a thread dedicated to them. I've got the following albums of theirs:
I know it's not many and I'm definitely going to get more of their stuff in the future 'cos I really enjoy them. A very good jazz rock band. They've got a brilliant guitar player - Antymos Apostolis. And their leader Jozef Skrzek I find a solid multiinstrumentalist (bass, Hammond organ, moog, mellotron, clavinet, etc.) and a decent vocalist.
And what's your attitude towards them?

These guys are a great band. "Z Których Krwi Krew Moja" off of Pamiec
is simply stunning, what a vocal performance by Skrzek there. I don't
believe I have heard them play Jazz-rock though, where can I hear that.

Well, they're listed under Jazz Rock/Fusion in the archives but honestly I'm not sure of this label either. If they play jazz rock then it's much more rock than jazz IMO.

Yeah, I've picked up "Ze slowem biegne do ciebie" for 13 PLN in Empik Megastore in Krakow recently.

Great Polish band!
This band is legend. Members of SBB are:
Józef Skrzek (bass, keyboards) - probably the best Polish prog artist.
Antymos Apostolis (guitars) - great virtuoso, amazing solos, especially on "Memento..." album
Jerzy Piotrowski (drums) - also excellent drummer, not very striking
but effective (in 80's he played in ultra-pop band Kombi - that was
worse than Phil Collins!!)
I have heard 5 albums: SBB1, SBB3 (Pamiec), Ze Słowiem Biegne Do
Ciebie, Memento z Banalnym Tryptykiem and New Century (with Paul
Wertico).
The best by far is "Memento...". Masterpiece!! I recommend it to every
prog fan. Actually, this one isn't jazz-rock. I would rather call it
symphonic prog. Really!

Kombi! I like them.
They're responsible for my liking of electric drums sound.

Tried to listen to their music. First impression is: boring.
Maybe their music will grow on me after repeated listenings, I don't know.

I own the box set.Great value for your buck.
Great for the completist like me,all of their albums up to 2004 are included as well as TONS of bonus tracks.
The live album ''Karlstad 1975'' is absolutely wondeful.Spontaneus and experimental, the band plays a one and only perfermance that is breathtaking. ![Clap](https://www.progarchives.com/forum/smileys/smiley32.gif)

SBB is one of the best bands I've "discovered" within the last five years (or post-2000). I had a few of the earlier CD issues but got rid of them when I got the Anthology box set the week Laser's Edge was having a sale (15% off $160.00!). Of course, I have all the DVDs. Essential listening!

They seem pretty cool. I haven't purchased any of their stuff, but it's definitely on the list.

"Karlstad" is my fave and perhaps closest to jazz-rock other than their more recent, fusion inspired releases.
I'd wholeheartedly recommend any of their Live releases from the '70s, some of which I was fortunate to attend then. This trio plays with incredible enthusiasm and even inspired other bands to the point that it nearly created another Genre!
Admittedly, I find some of the vocal parts rather boring, but sometimes they do come off well. Of their Studio recordings I prefer "Pamiec" the most.
