These guys are woefully underappreciated on this board.  I just saw them live, met the bass player, and gave them our band's CD.

These guys rock ASS!!!!

Proggers love them, dirty hippies love them.

More importantly, I love them.

So you should check them out.

I know, these guys are seriously awesome! You should really pick up ANCHOR DROPS... it's their best studio release!

Strangers passing in the street by chance two separate glances meet and I am you and what I see is me. And do I take you by the hand and lead you through the land and help me understand the best I can

They are very good, but their new album Safety in Numbers is even better.I saw them recently in Washington DC with Ohm opening for them and both bands were incredible.

Umphrey's McGee live is apparently amazing, all i have are some bootlegs though. I've never actually SEEN them play, which is a shame because they toured through my town about a year ago... just a few months too late as far as finding out goes. If you guys can see them live GO in the name of me, you won't regret it prog or not.

Go to their website and you can download 70 to 80 minute podcasts for free.  They are easily one of the best live bands around.

I bought Anchor Drops due to seeing some good reviews, most of them trying to somehow twist into the fact that UM is some kind of prog.  That ain't prog and I don't like it.  If you do like it, more power to you but as I see it, prog buyer beware.

It helps if you also like Jambands and Improvised music

They are prog in my opinion, or at least fusion

Yes, they are AMAZING live, and the guys in the band are very nice to their fans.

The podcasts that Progtologist mentioned are all awesome
