Hi chaps,

I'm newly registered to this forum, although I have nosed around in the past. I've been into prog for a long time now, and thought I'd post up a link to my new Band - www.bard.uk.net

I checked through the FAQ and couldn't see anything against gratutious self promotion, if this isn't permitted, I apologise, I'm sure it will be removed fairly quick :)

We're playing the Guilfest in the UK on the 14th of July, on the unsigned bands (LiveClub) stage, and are trying to get a few gigs before then. We've done a few gigs with the current incarnation (new drummer recently), but are fairly new. All the material is original, although admittedly heavily influenced by Genesis, Camel, Yes, ELP, Marillion...you name it.

Let me know if you like it, or can recommend any other Prog forums that will get us known round the UK to start with - we are fully aware that many of our gigs are going to be playing to one man and his tumbleweed, but we love playing the music, and idea's are coming thick and fast at the moment - so you never know, someone else may like it too ;)

There are some sound bites of home recorded demo's up on the site, we are going into the studio starting next week to put better versions down.

I've wittered on enough as it is, if anyone is kind enough to have a butchers, let me know what your initial impression is please, I'm available on contact"at"bard.uk.net

As an addendum, we're supporting Crimson Sky in the Lousiana Club, Bristol, on the 21st of June.

And playing the Chesham Football Club, Chesham on the 15th of June.
